On Friday night, the Atlanta Hawks tied a franchise record, but not exactly the one it would have liked to have set. At home, the Hawks fell to the New Orleans Hornets by a 100-59 score, tying an all-time team record for fewest points scored in a game. From John Hollinger:
Hawks Set Team Record For Fewest Points, Fall To Hornets, 100-59
And your final: Hornets 100, Hawks 59. Really Hawks tie team record with 25-point second half. ATLiens shot 29.1% and had only 11 FTAs.
At the half, the Hawks trailed the Hornets by a 49-34 score. After a woeful third quarter, one in which they took over eight minutes to get their second field goal, they only had 11 more points, meaning they entered the fourth with only 45. Mike Bibby was 0-for-7 for the game, having missed all five three-point attempts. Jeff Teague was 0-for-8 and Jordan Crawford went 2-for-9 to round out the misery.
