The Senior Bowl weigh-in took place today and there were some notable happenings. I’m not big on getting into body types – who looks good, who looks flabby, etc. That’s weird to me. Check out Wes Bunting’s tweets for that kind of thing, I guess.

Tony Pauline has the numbers on his site, so find the South roster here and the North roster here.

The first thing that stood out to me was Gabe Carimi's arm length. At 35 1/4 inches, he has one of the better arm lengths among offensive linemen. I thought he'd have shorter arms. One player who does is Auburn's Lee Ziemba. At 33 1/2 inches, he may have to move inside to guard.

A couple of guys came in really light. Most notably, Purdue defensive end Ryan Kerrigan measured at 255 pounds. Now people are saying he should only be a 3-4 outside linebacker candidate. Did you know Jared Allen played last season at 255 pounds?

Some other light players were West Virginia running back Noel Devine (160 pounds) and Miami cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke (168 pounds).

Others of note:

Michigan State middle linebacker Greg Jones came in at just under six foot. He's 5'11 and 7/8 to be precise. There's some hullaballoo about him being too short for linebacker. If he was an eighth of an inch taller, would anyone be saying anything?

Colorado left tackle Nate Solder is a legit 6-foot-8, but has an arm length of 34 1/2 inches.

Louisville running back Bilal Powell has been listed a few places at 6-foot-1. Actual height? He's 5-foot-11.

Oregon State defensive tackle Stephen Paea came in much lighter than I anticipated. After being listed at 311 by OSU, he came in today at 295 pounds.

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.

It’s a high-potential pick for a Detroit defense that needs a solid pass rusher.
