The college football off-season has just begun but already Florida is preparing to turn 2011 into a comeback season. Of course, so far the only standings they're climbing are the Fulmer Cup Standings thanks to senior cornerback Janoris Jenkins who was cited for possession of marijuana on Saturday night.
Florida’s Janoris Jenkins Arrested For Marijuana Possession
Florida senior cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been cited for possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana by Gainesville Police.
Jenkins received the citation after officers observed Jenkins attempting to roll a cannabis cigarette in the bathroom of a downtown night club (Status Nightclub) on Saturday night.
The possession charge is a misdemeanor. Jenkins was arrested, but he signed a notice to appear and was released. He has a Feb. 17 court date.
Jenkins is arrestee No. 1 in the Will Muschamp Era. It’s a start but Will has a long way to go if he wants to match his predecessor (30 players arrests in the six-year Urban Meyer Era).
Alligator Army has more details on the arrest and reaction to the “layers of stupidity” involved.
