Juventus Believed To Have Signed Alessandro Matri From Cagliari

According to the twitter feed of Paolo Bandini, Juventus are believed to have signed Cagliari forward Alessandro Matri on a one year loan, although this being Italy the loan will be made permanent at the end of the year. The Old Lady are desperate for a striker after Fabio Quagliarella injured his knee at the beginning of January. They quickly snapped up Luca Toni from Genoa only for him to also injure himself. It's enough to make one wonder if Matri should be concerned for his health.

With Amauri heading out to Parma, there’s a clear path to the Olimpico for Matri. The striker is on 11 goals in 22 games for the rossoblu, and with a brace against Bari at the weekend, his stock continues to rise. Reports vary but it’s thought that the deal for Matri is between €12-15 million. But if Matri can bring the goals and lift Juventus out of their slump, any amount of money will likely look like a bargain.
