Last month cornerback Brandon Harris said there was an 85 percent chance he was returning to Miami. Now it’s a 100 percent chance he’s in the NFL Draft. In a statement, Harris announced that he’s the latest entrant in this year’s selection process.
Brandon Harris changes mind, in 2011 NFL Draft
“I have grown up so much as a football player and as a man at the University of Miami,” Harris said in a release. “The relationships that I have built here with the players and coaches will be with me for the rest of my life.”
Harris started 32 games and played in 39 total in three seasons with the Hurricanes. He finished his career with 132 tackles, 28 pass breakups, four interceptions, five forced fumbles and two sacks.
As a draft prospect, there’s a strong percentage Harris gets taken in the first round. But of his own accord, that could always change during the draft process.
