Former Detroit Lions Lions general manager Matt Millen sure was bad at his job. (Here is where you say "How bad was he?" Go ahead, I'll wait.) He was so bad that members of the Funny or Die crew made a video devoted to it.
‘Millenball,’ a reminder of Matt Millen’s inability to draft
Millenball is the antithesis, and a spoof, of Moneyball. While Moneyball is sort of about how a winner is built unconventionally, Millenball is the tale of a bumbling mustachioed GM who drafted numerous wide receivers and something called Ikaika Alama-Francis 58th overall in 2007.
Millen was so bad as a GM, he makes me feel confident in what I do here. After all, if some NFL team is going to pay him to make personnel decisions for years, I can certainly spew draft opinion online.
So enjoy Millenball. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll remember the worst NFL decision maker of the century.
