The Oakland Raiders snapped their 8-game AFC West winning streak with going down to the Kansas City Chiefs, . The Chiefs defense took advantage of Raiders quarterback Kyle Boller who was making the start for the injured Jason Campbell. Boller was picked off by the Chiefs defense three different times resulting in his benching shortly after the half.

It didn’t matter if it was Kyle Boller or Carson Palmer for the Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs secondary picked off each three times on the road to a 28-0 shutout of the Oakland Raiders.
Newly acquired quarterback Carson Palmer came into the game in the second half off the bench, but was just as ineffective as Boller was. That was to be expected, considering he's been sitting out most of the season so far, trying to get traded out of Cincinnati. Like Boller, Palmer was also picked off three different times. Despite being ineffective in the passing game, the Raiders were to run the football even after Darren McFadden got knocked out of the game early. Michael Bush had 99 rushing yards on just 17 carries. Ultimately though, turnovers killed any chance the Raiders had.
The Chiefs defense made sure to make the Raiders pay for the turnovers, returning two of them for long touchdowns. Both Kendrick Lewis and Brandon Flowers returned interceptions 50+ yards for a score. Offensively, the Chiefs really weren't all that good, but were still able to score 28 points thanks to the defensive scores.
Quarterback Matt Cassel struggled throwing the football, completing just 50% of his passes and threw two interceptions. Jackie Battle led the team in carriers and rushing yards, but cornerback Javier Arenas got the call in the redzone to run the wildcat. Arenas punched the ball in from 7-yards out and the score to put the Chiefs up 21-0 early in the third quarter. Fullback La'Ron McClain also scored on a goal line run.
It was a rough game for the Raiders at quarterback, which was about what was expected. There isn’t much you can do however when you turn the ball over six times and convert just 4 third downs.
