BCS Standings Week 9: LSU Holds Top Spot In Rankings

LSU tops the BCS Rankings in Week 9 once again after leading off the initial BCS rankings last week. Wisconsin plummets nine spots to No. 15 while Oklahoma falls just six spots to No. 9.

The second set of BCS rankings were just released and the LSU Tigers once again sit on top of the rankings. With Wisconsin's last second loss against Michigan State, they unsurprisingly fell out of the top 6 and plummeted all the way to 16. Oklahoma also got dropped by Texas Tech, so naturally they dropped out of their top 5 ranking all the way to the 9th spot. Clemson and Stanford continue to climb in the BCS as they continue to dominate their opponents.

Here’s the current Top 25 in the BCS rankings.

That’s quite a tumble for Wisconsin, considering they lost on a last second play. They’re also ranked below Nebraska, a team Wisconsin handled rather easily a few weeks ago. Kansas State continues to sneak up the BCS rankings, still having Oklahoma on their schedule. Oregon is the highest ranked one loss team, with their only loss to top ranked LSU. Oklahoma State and Kansas State are two teams that the computers love, so it will be interesting to see how they can climb as the season goes on.
