↵I’ve always felt bad for the 1919 Reds (featured in this period booklet). Because eight members of their opponents took a dive in the World Series, their victory was tainted. Should it be? The Reds won eight more games than the White Sox that year (both in reality and by Pythagorean), so can’t we assume they might have been the better team and could have won without the conspiracy?
