Open Race Thread: NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Tums Fast Relief 500 | Martinsville Speedway

Should be a good day for a race, and all of the Chase contenders are starting up front. I kind of like that, perhaps this is something NASCAR should look into for next year and have all of the Chase contenders start up front based on their points and have the rest of the field set by regular qualifying procedures. The Chase contenders could even pick their own pit stalls before the rest of the field does too - order of choice would be set by Owner Points as well.

That would provide a neat twist anyway.

So Harvick and The Biff got into it at practice yesterday, just look at Harvick’s face in the picture - man is he mad. I wonder if this means he’ll finish 2nd in today’s race? I mean Hornaday got into it with another driver during the Truck practice and he finished second yesterday, so why not his truck owner, Harvick?

My pick to win today is Jimmie Johnson, and my Dark Horse pick is Clint Bowyer. Let’s see how close I can come with this pick. I expect the 24 car to have a strong run too.
Starting line-up is after the jump - nothing too great as it was set by Owner’s Points. See you in the comments!
