Hot off his four-sack performance against Florida over the weekend, the Internet was abuzz about Georgia’s Jarvis Jones.
The redshirt sophomore was impressive and earned the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts. So the questions was out there about whether or not the Southern California transfer should enter the 2012 NFL Draft. For now, he has no intentions of going pro.
“Not at all,” he told the media today. “I’m going to be here as long as I can. I mean, I love the university, I love the guys here, I love being in Athens. Most of all, school’s going to come first. And I love my coaches, too. Right now I don’t feel like I’m ready to play in the NFL anyway. I’ve still got a lot to learn.”

Right now, Jones is mostly a pass rush specialist. Thus far, though, he’s been a good one. On the season, he has 14 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He’s a likely 3-4 linebacker candidate, but needs to continue adding strength to his 6-foot-3, 241-pound frame.
