Welcome to Kansas Speedway

As NASCAR drivers head to Kansas Speedway for the 11th annual Hollywood Casino 400, here are five fun facts and records that could have an impact on the race results.

Best average finish and most wins
Jeff Gordon is the active driver with the best average finish at 8.1. Gordon is tied with Tony Stewart and Greg Biffle for the most wins, with two. A win for #24 would be huge and something he needs as the Chase for the Sprint Cup comes down to the wire.

Gordon’s last win at Kansas Speedway was September 29, 2002. He is definitely due for a victory at the 1.5 mile tri-oval track.

Most top-fives and most top-tens

Jeff Gordon also holds the record for the most top-fives and top-tens at the track. He has eight top-five finishes and nine top-ten finishes.

Gordon is a fan of the Kansas Speedway track saying, "This has been a great track for us and I can’t wait for this weekend’s race." while at Phoenix International Raceway testing.

Fastest Qualifying Speed

Matt Kenseth holds the record for the fastest qualifying speed of 180.856 set back in 2004. Kenseth is another driver favored to win the Hollywood Casino 400 this weekend. Another he has never won a race at the track, he does have two top five and five top-ten finishes.

Last Win at Kansas Speedway
Brad Keselowski is the last one to visit Gatorade Victory Lane at Kansas. He know holds the honor for winning the race from the worst starting position, at 25th. Keselowski has said his win at the track was special because he knew they were doing things right to achieve success. After winning at Kansas in June, Keselowski went on to win at Pocono and Bristol to guarantee him a spot in the Chase.

Last weekend at Dover was disappointing for Keselowski, who finished 20th, but it was only the second time in ten races that he has finished outside the top 10.

Look for the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge to have a great weekend of racing, and move back up in the Chase standings.

Most Laps Led
Kurt Busch is the driver that has led the most laps at Kansas Speedway with 152 laps, a recor that was set back in June. With Busch capturing the victory last weekend at Dover, he could have gained some momentum to help him cross the finish line first in the Hollywood Casino 400.

Qualifying for the Hollywood Casino 400 from Kansas Speedway is Friday at 5pm EST on ESPN 2, while the race is Sunday afternoon at 2pm on ESPN. Matt Kenseth will be the ESPN In-Race Reporter.

Enjoy the race!
