Oklahoma at Baylor NFL Draft watch notes

After a white-hot start to the season, the momentum surrounding Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin has cooled slightly. He's thrown four total interceptions the past four weeks and generally not looked like the prospect he needs to. He could turn that around against Oklahoma today. He hasn't faced many defenses like the one Oklahoma has, so it will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure.

The player on Oklahoma I want to follow closely today is defensive end Ronnell Lewis. He's considered by many as a top 3-4 outside linebacker candidate, but i need to see him be more fluid working the edge. Opposite Lewis is Frank Alexander who is having a solid season with 7.5 sacks. Alexander projects as a mid-round rotation player.

There could be a great one-on-one showdown if Oklahoma cornerback

Jamell Fleming

lines up against Baylor wide receiver

Kendall Wright

. Fleming is coming off an excellent game against Texas A&M and could dramatically help his draft stock with another good game. At this point, we know what the speedy Wright can do.
Sooners linebacker Travis Lewis hasn’t had the season many expected and be affected by the injuries he suffered last season. Right now Lewis looks like a second-round pick, at best.
This is the kind of game where Oklahoma quarterback

Landry Jones

should excel. It should be a high-scoring game, so Jones will get plenty of chances to remedy his dipping draft stock.

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.

It’s a high-potential pick for a Detroit defense that needs a solid pass rusher.
