The Rev. Keith Louis conducted the service in both Dutch and English so that the Mariners’ guests could follow along.
Johns also reports that Halman was laid to rest in his Mariners uniform. Number 56.
Halman was on the Mariners’ 40-man roster after playing in 35 games for the big club this season, and was generally expected to compete for a spot next spring.
It’s touching that the Mariners made a good showing at Halman’s funeral.
