Iowa's Riley Reiff has all but secured himself a spot in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, should he choose to come out. He's a powerful lineman who can easily drive defenders off the blocks. He should have an easy time against Michigan today.
Iowa senior wide receiver Marvin McNutt is quietly putting together an excellent season. Going into today's game against Iowa he has 48 catches for 858 yards and nine touchdowns. McNutt has good size and times his leaps really well. He may not have the speed or the quick cutting teams will look for, though. He projects as a solid receiver in the NFL and should be a dependable pro.
Michigan defensive tackle Mike Martin had a statement game last week with two sacks against Purdue. Martin, a former high school wrestler, is going to test well in the offseason but will get under-drafted because of his size. He should find a way into an NFL lineup, though, due to his powerful style and relentlessness.
Michigan at Iowa NFL Draft watch notes
One of the better players in this game is Iowa cornerback
. The junior has good size at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds. He profiles as someone who could play corner in the right scheme or shift over to free safety because of his instincts.
Michigan junior cornerback
has started to emerge this season. He has nice size at 6-foot and 185 pounds. For a cornerback, he’s a sure tackler who breaks down nicely in space.
The Wolverines’ David Molk is one of the more athletic centers in the nation, but will have to be in the right scheme to make it in the NFL. He could be an excellent backup for a team like the Texans.
