Islanders Vs. Bruins: Boston Scores In Bunches In 6-2 Victory Over New York

The Bruins have now won three straight games thank to timely scoring -- with emphasis on “timely.”

Stanley Cup hangover? Perhaps the Boston Bruins are feeling better.

Monday's 6-2 win over the New York Islanders has the defending champions streaking with three straight wins, and they're doing it by scoring in bunches.

Apparently #Bruins can no longer simply score one goal at a time. That’s 5th time in last 2 games they’ve scored two goals within a minute.

NESN’s Douglas Flynn brought such a discovery to light. Here’s a breakdown:

vs. New York

First period: 13:38 Nathan Horton, 14:07 Tyler Seguin

Third period: 4:34 Milan Lucic, 5:23 Horton

vs. Toronto Maple Leafs -- November 5

First period: :34 Seguin, :42 Lucic; 15:01 Seguin, 15:15 David Krejci

Third period: 5:44 Lucic, 6:12 Gregory Campbell

The Bruins have 13 goals in their last two games and, as evidenced above, are doing it at breakneck speed. That’s a major shift from the first month of the season, where they seemingly couldn’t score at all and were struggling to win hockey games.
