Peyton Manning still doesn't know whether or not he will be able to suit up for the Indianapolis Colts anytime soon, but he should learn whether or not he can return to practice very soon. Manning is undergoing scans on his neck this week and expects to learn the results shortly. If his vertebrae fusion procedure went as planned and his graft has taken hold on the bones, he should be able to increase the intensity of his workouts.

Manning had three separate neck surgeries in less than two years, with the most recent coming in September. The Colts and Manning have held out hope this year that he could return to full practice before the end of the season. He’s currently limited to light workouts that would cause no strain on his neck. The Colts should know if Manning is able to resume throwing shortly.
