As expected, Southern California quarterback Matt Barkley is going to explore his NFL Draft options. Also as expected, he remains wildly diplomatic about the whole process.
As expected, Matt Barkley submits NFL Draft paperwork

Barkley, on a media jaunt that included print and ESPN outlets, said Wednesday that he’s filed his paperwork to the NFL Draft advisory board. The junior was non-committal when discussing his future plans or when he’ll announce them.
“There’s not really a timetable,” he told the media. “But there’s definitely going to be a process.”
That process will have to take place by Jan. 15, the declaration deadline for the 2012 NFL Draft.
As that time draws nearer, the discussion about Barkley’s pro potential will increase. On Peter King’s podcast this week, NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock referred to Barkley as a “more polished” Andy Dalton. Given the success that Dalton has had as a rookie, that might not be such a bad thing.
On the season, Barkley has completed 69.1 percent of his passes for 3,528 yards with 39 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
