Sydney Sixers v Brisbane Heat Live and Preview Big Bash League 2011-12
Sydney Sixers will host Brisbane Heat in the first ever Big Bash League game of the season at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

You can watch the Sydney Sixers v Brisbane Heat BBL match live on Fox Sports on December 16. The game will begin at 7.00 pm local time (8.00 am GMT).
Sydney Sixers will be led by Brad Haddin in the tournament and there are good chances that this is one of the few games that he plays this season. He will be called up for international duties at the end of December and that will mean that he could get only a couple of games.
The Sixers will also miss Patrick Cummins who is injured and so the likes of Moises Henriques, Josh Hazlewood and Brett Lee will lead the pace bowling attack for them.
There will also be no Shane Watson, which will mean that the likes of Steven Smith and Steve O’Keefe will need to perform the all-rounder’s duties.
Brisbane Heat, captained by James Hopes, have a canny coach in Darren Lehman. What makes their side powerful is the presence of Brendon McCullum at the top of the order, who will open the innings with Matthew Hayden.
Daniel Christina, fresh from his call-up in the second Test against New Zealand, has a lot of T20 experience that he will like to use. Nathan Hauritz will love to get the better of his former domestic side, but potentially, the Heats will miss two of their best bowlers in Ryan Harris and Daniel Vettori – both to injuries.
On paper, Sydney Sixers will be a hard team to beat at home but Brisbane Heat have some excellent players to upset the Sixers’ applecart.
