It’s just about time the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. You may still call it the Humanitarian Bowl. I call it the bowl on the blue turf. Of all the 35 bowls this year, this one may be the lightest on NFL Draft prospects. That’s what happens, though, when you match Utah State with Ohio.
Utah State vs. Ohio; Famous Idaho Potato Bowl NFL Draft watch notes
Still, Utah State has not just one but two legit NFL Draft prospects this season, which is unusual.
Leading the way is middle linebacker Bobby Wagner, who has 140 tackles this season with 10.5 tackles for a loss and 4 sacks. Against Auburn earlier this season, Wagner was arguably the best player on the field. He closes in a hurry and does a nice job of getting off blocks.
Aggies junior running back Robert Turbin looks to be on the verge of leaving early for the NFL. He averages 118 yards rushing per game and has 19 touchdowns coming into this game. He's a strong runner and could explode in popularity at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Ohio really only has one solid draft prospect in wide receiver LaVon Brazill. He has a penchant for making outstanding receptions and has the speed to break away from defenders. Brazill is going to make an NFL roster next season and is the kind of playmaker coaches will love to get the ball to.
