Baylor Vs. UConn Score Update: Bears Trail Huskies 48-39 Early In Second Half
The Huskies team defense has kept Baylor’s star forward Brittney Griner somewhat in check through the first half.

Connecticut had a 34-28 lead on Baylor at the half, with the Huskies sitting in a 2-3 zone in an effort to protect the paint against Baylor’s 6’8 junior superstar Brittney Griner.
Griner is shooting 6-9 for the field with 13 points, but the Bears leading scorer is sophomore point guard Odyssey Simms. Simms has knocked down three 3-pointers for 15 points, taking advantage of the open looks Baylor is getting from the outside.
Connecticut’s leading scorer is 5’7 guard Bria Hartley, who has 18 points on 7-10 shooting.
The Huskies bench has come up huge, with 6’0 forward Kaleena Mosqueada-Lewis adding 13 points and 6’3 junior forward Heather Buck using her size to battle Griner in the post defensively.
