At least one Wisconsin junior offensive lineman won't be entering the 2012 NFL Draft. That would be right tackle Ricky Wagner, who isn't even submitting paperwork to the NFL Draft advisory board.

"That's not in my mind at all," Wagner told the Wisconsin State Journal. Wagner did say that although he didn't submit paperwork, he had been contacted by agents. That led to head coach Bret Bielema having a draft intervention with Wagner. As Bielema told the newspaper, former guard John Moffitt nearly came out after his junior year because of an agent's suggestion, despite not submitting paperwork. Bielema convinced him to return for his senior year and Moffitt became a third-round pick.
Wagner projects to be drafted higher in 2013. Bielema expects him to have a "jump" in his play, which happened with former tackle Gabe Carimi.
So Wagner is one down for Bielema, who now may have to convince center Peter Konz to stay with the Badgers for his senior season. Konz is a more highly regarded prospect than Wagner. In my latest mock draft, he was placed in the first round to the Tennessee Titans.
