Brigham Young vs. Tulsa; Armed Forces Bowl NFL Draft watch notes

Brigham Young fans had plenty of time to buy tickets to the Armed Forces Bowl. The Cougars accepted an invitation to the game in April, as long as the team won six games. Tulsa made it to this game by virtue of finishing the season at 8-4.

This game is a contrast of styles. Brigham Young is much more known for its defense while Tulsa is driven by its offense. But if you want the nuts and bolts of this game, follow the story stream here.

You're here because you follow the NFL Draft — even in games where the talent is sparse. The top prospect in this game is BYU offensive tackle Matt Reynolds, a mid-round player if he has a good offseason. Reynolds was oft criticized last season for having heavy feet and bad mobility. This year, a slimmed down Reynolds is lighter on his feet but still has the power for which he's known.

Defensive tackle Hebron Fangupo will get some looks thanks simply because of his size (a listed 6-foot-1, 331 pounds). He has the skill set to be a nose tackle in the NFL, but will probably be little more than a backup.

Tulsa’s G.J. Kinne, who has 2,876 yards and 25 touchdowns this season, is a project quarterback. He’s a good athlete for the position but faces a considerable adjustment to the next level.

3k has put out another edition of the downloadable bowl watch list, which you can (and should) download here.
