Rutgers vs. Iowa State: Pinstripe Bowl NFL Draft watch notes

Getty Images

Coming into the New Era Pinstripe Bowl between Rutgers and Iowa State (3:20 p.m., ESPN), here is what we know: Rutgers defensive back/linebacker Khaseem Greene won't enter the 2012 NFL Draft. It's for the best since he's a tweener player who needs to develop more.

Here is what we don't know: There was a report that Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu would return as well, but it hasn't been followed up by more reliable outlets. Sanu may not have the best size or speed, but he's a dependable pass catcher who profiles as a good No. 2 in the NFL.

Here is more we know: Iowa State has two of solid draft prospects in tackle/guard Kelechi Osemele and cornerback Leonard Johnson. Osemele struggles with speed rushers and may be a right tackle only at the next level. Johnson gained plenty of attention after a solid showing against Oklahoma State's Justin Blackmon. Johnson has nice size and can jam at the line pretty well.

Here is what we need to know more about: How good is Rutgers left guard Desmond Wynn? In the second game of the season, he did a nice job of help-blocking on North Carolina defensive end Quinton Coples. Wynn can move around for a guard and looks to be scheme vertical.

2013 NFL Draft watch: Rutgers tight end D.C. Jefferson has had a terrible season with only 107 yards receiving on the year. He's incredibly talented and has good size, but there production just isn't there. He needs a break through senior season next year if he wants to play football professionally.
