With another week of games, the order for the 2012 NFL Draft has become even muddier. With their loss Monday Night, the Jacksonville Jaguars now have the fourth pick in the draft, but have lost three straight and could rise with games against weak opposition coming up.
The draft order is based on record then strength of schedule. If that's tied, a coin flip takes place. If the Jaguars finish with the same record as the St. Louis Rams and Minnesota Vikings, who currently have picks two and three, respectively, the Jacksonville could jump into the second spot. For those curious, the Rams close with the Seahawks, Bengals, Steelers and 49ers. The Vikings have the Lions, Saints, Redskins and Bears and the Jaguars get the Buccaneers, Falcons, Titans and Colts.
2012 NFL Draft order: Faltering Jaguars rising near the top
For those who have asked, I use the ESPN standings for the strength of schedule. It only calculates based on opponents already played.
After the jump, picks one through 15 in the draft. I’d go further, but nine teams have a 7-5 record. Also, I am tired.
