Rock out with your Mock Draft out: Todd McShay

Getty Images

We are in that lovely stage of the draft process where the combine numbers have yet to impact draft stocks. This always a time where we see a surge of Mock Drafts and we love to share those with everyone. The "Rock out with your Mock Draft out" articles are a great way to see how different people rank the various prospects. This mock by ESPN's Todd McShay looks very different than the one I posted last week (Check out Jon Dove's Mock HERE). However, there are a lot of picks that we see eye to eye on including Julio Jones to the Rams.

Probably the biggest difference is the draft position of JJ Watt. McShay has the Wisconsin defensive end going #9 overall to the Dallas Cowboys while I have him falling out of the 1st round. I am a fan of Watt and feel that he will likely be selected in the 1st round but not at #9. Watt has the potential to be a solid 5 technique but a player like Cam Jordan would present more upside.

As usual, McShay’s mock is protected by the ESPN Insider but if you are a member you can check out the mock HERE. Also keep an eye out for my 2nd round mock which should be posted this weekend!
