Ever since NASCAR realized some of its traditional fans were starting to lose interest in the sport, race tracks have rolled out concert after concert of musical acts that fit one of two descriptions:
Good Charlotte To Perform Pre-Race Concert At Auto Club Speedway
↵1) Country music
↵or
↵2) Rock group that was relevant in the 1970s or 80s.
↵Those of us who are into current pop/rock/rap – or at least music from the last decade – have been quite deprived the past couple years.
↵Thankfully, Auto Club Speedway announced Thursday that Good Charlotte will perform a pre-race concert prior to the Southern California track’s March 27 Sprint Cup race.
↵Personally, I’m pretty pumped up about it. I realize country will always be NASCAR’s primary music, but bringing a relevant non-country music act to a race this year is a big positive for another demographic of fans.
