New Carolina head coach Ron Rivera said at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis today that the Panthers are targeting seven to 10 players with the first overall pick.
He said the team's first step is to evaluate the team's current roster, which includes 2010 second-round pick Jimmy Clausen. However, that shouldn't mean the Panthers won't consider Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert first overall.
Those are two of the obvious seven to 10 players. But who are the others? Over the next couple of months, that information will probably come out.
