NBA Trades: Kendrick Perkins, Gerald Wallace Highlight Deadline Day Deals

The NBA Trade Deadline has come and gone, and in the past 12 hours or so, what was expected to be a quiet day has given way to a whirlwind of activity that’s sent NBA stars flying in just about every direction. If you’ve had trouble keeping track of everything, you’re not alone.

But that’s why we’re here. SB Nation has the details on every trade from the past week, and in the interest of everyone’s sanity, how about an overview of everything that’s happened in the past 48 hours or so? Does that sound like something you’d be interested in? ... Good!

In no particular order...

The Rockets' SF Shane Battier returns to the Memphis Grizzlies, the team that drafted him. In return, Rockets received Hasheem Thabeet and a protected first round pick.

The Suns traded for PG Aaron Brooks, and sent PG Goran Dragic to Houston in exchange.

The Boston Celtics traded C Kendrick Perkins and G Nate Robinson to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for C Nenad Krstic, SF Jeff Green, and the rights to the L.A. Clippers' 2012 1st round pick.

The Boston Celtics also traded C Semih Erden and PF Luke Harangody to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for a second round pick. For their final move of the day, the Celtics dealt SG Marquis Daniels to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for cash. What are the Celtics thinking here? Glad you asked!

The Portland Trail Blazers traded for SF Gerald Wallace, and the Charlotte Bobcats received Joel Pryzbilla in return. The Bobcats will also get two first round picks from the Trail Blazers.

Oklahoma City traded for the Bobcats C Nazr Mohammed, and sent SG Morris Peterson and PF D.J. White to Charlotte as part of the exchange.

The Toronto Raptors traded for SF James Johnson and the Bulls received Miami's 2011 1st round pick in exchange.

The Los Angeles Clippers traded PG Baron Davis and a 2011 number one pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for SF Jamario Moon and PG Mo Williams.

The Utah Jazz traded PG Deron Williams to the New Jersey Nets in exchange for PG Devin Harris, PF Derrick Favors, and 1st round picks in 2011 and 2012.

The Washington Wizards traded PG Kirk Hinrich to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for PG Mike Bibby, SG Maurice Evans, SG Jordan Crawford, and Atlanta's 2011 first round pick.

The New Orleans Hornets traded for PF Carl Landry, sending SG Marcus Thornton to Sacramento.

And of course, who could forget the most head-splitting trade of them all? MELODRAMA.

Whether your favorite player is coming home or leaving for good, you have to admit, it’s been a pretty exciting day in the NBA. Stay tuned to SB Nation as we all try to make sense of the madness.
