Celtics Vs. Nuggets: Boston Caps Busy Trade Deadline Against Denver

The Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets were two of the more active teams ahead of Thursday's trade deadline, with the Nuggets trading away Carmelo Anthony earlier in the week and the Celtics restructuring their roster right at the deadline. The Celtics come into Thursday night's game shorthanded having traded away Kendrick Perkins, Nate Robinson, Marquis Daniels, Semih Erden and Luke Harangody in multiple moves. The trades make for an intriguing matchup tonight as Boston works with a short bench and Denver brings out its new players.

The Nuggets came out of the trade bonanza without Anthony and Chauncey Billups, but with Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, and Raymond Felton. With all the off-court drama, it's easy to forget there's actually games going on, and the Nuggets are adjusting to life after Melo. All of the new Nuggets are expected to be available tonight, and should make their Nuggets debut.

If there’s a team that can sympathize with Boston having to play short-handed, it’s Denver. The Nuggets played with just eight players on Tuesday in a 120-107 win over Memphis. The last time these two teams met, the Celtics walloped the Nuggets, 105-89.

Stay tuned to this StoryStream for the latest from the game as the Nuggets and Celtics square-off at the Pepsi Center in Denver. TNT has the broadcast duties, beginning at 7:30 Eastern, or immediately following the Bulls-Heat game.
