One of the questions about LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson is if he's too big to play cornerback.
Listed by LSU at 6'1, 222 pounds, Peterson measured in at the NFL Combine at 6'0, 219 pounds.
Peterson said he feels fluid at that weight. So fluid that last week he said he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.29 seconds. He intends to run in the 4.2-second range during defensive back workouts on Tuesday.

That speed is what helps Peterson in man coverage, the scheme LSU predominantly ran.
“That’s pretty all I’ve been taught coming out of college,” Peterson said. “We always what to get after the receiver and not let those guys get the best of us.”
Peterson said he’s talked to the Cleveland Browns at the Combine. When asked if he’s talked to the Carolina Panthers, who hold the No. 1 pick, Peterson talked around the question.
“I hope I can be in play for the first pick,” Peterson later said. “The Panthers have the final say so. It doesn’t matter what I think or say about it.”
