Among them, Peterson said “The whole NFL wants Patrick Peterson.” In other humble comments, Peterson said his goal is to run the 40-yard dash in less than 4.2 seconds.
It’s that kind of braggadocios third-person rhetoric that lends credence to the notion that Peterson can be a shutdown cornerback.
If "the whole NFL wants Patrick Peterson," they may have to trade up for him. It's conceivable Peterson could go first overall to the Carolina Panthers. It's unlikely he drops past the Arizona Cardinals with the fifth pick. There has been some discussion that the Dallas Cowboys would like to trade up for Peterson.
Comparing Julio Jones and A.J. Green, Peterson said it was hard to say which is better and the two have different talents.
