Georgia’s Top RB Washaun Ealey Suspended Indefinitely

Washaun Ealey, Georgia's starting running back and the team's leading rusher for the 2010 season, has been suspended indefinitely from the team by Mark Richt, according to the reliable source of Mark Schlabach. This will mark the rising junior's second team suspension (that we know about): He was held out of the Bulldogs' first game last year after being arrested in a hit-and-run incident just prior to the start of the season, an episode that helped earn Georgia the coveted Fulmer Cup for offseason misbehavior. On the bright side, his reemergence as a discipline problem means we get to use this picture again:

Washaun's not gone. He's just taking a shortcut tunnel.

The cause of the suspension is reportedly Ealey’s failure to report for a punishment run -- because, you see, a week after Georgia signs the nation’s No. 1 running back in Isaiah Crowell is the ideal time to start acting out. Note that Ealey hasn’t been dismissed from the team, but this isn’t going to help his case for touches in September if Crowell’s blue-chip hype pans out.
