Florida, Pitt headline Tuesday pro days

Today's pro days: Bowling Green, Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, Emporia State, Florida, Kansas State, McNeese State, Montana State, Pittsburgh, Robert Morris, Southeast Louisiana, Towson

The premier pro day today is clearly Florida's. With that regard, make sure to note that traditionally the Gators have a fast track. That will be a good thing for Ahmad Black after the safety ran an ordinary 4.70 40-yard dash at the Combine. Florida also had some Combine snubs in defensive linemen Justin Trattou and Lawrence Marsh who must look good today to receive a draftable grade.

Of course the most highly regarded player working out today is Gators offensive lineman Mike Pouncey. How much he'll work out today is unknown.

One draft riser who will get to show off today is Pittsburgh’s

Jabaal Sheard

. Projected by many as a 3-4 outside linebacker, Sheard looked good running a 4.68 40-yard dash at the Combine. Still, he didn’t run the three-cone drill in Indianapolis, a key drill for linebackers.
Pittsburgh has several top players this year, including wide receiver

Jon Baldwin

, fullback

Henry Hynoski

and offensive tackle Jason Pinkston. There’s probably not a lot that they’ll do today that will change their draft status. The same can’t be said for running back

Dion Lewis

. When he measured at 5’6 1/2 at the Combine, it became even more imperative that he impress at workouts. He posted decent numbers in Indianapolis, but can help himself today.
A continued hamstring injury won’t allow Kansas State’s Daniel Thomas to run today. Mike Mayock has Thomas as his No. 2 running back, and it’s hard to see how. He shouldn’t have been that high in the first place and probably won’t be unless he works out before the draft. To my knowledge, Thomas hasn’t set up a personal workout date yet.
Kansas State doesn’t really have any other players who should expect to be drafted.
The other player of note today is Delaware quarterback Pat Devlin. The Penn State transfer has struggled this offseason and been exposed as a quarterback with a lacking arm.

He’s a bit of a liability in the run game, but his potential in the pass game was enough for Buffalo Rumblings.
