↵M&Ms’ parent company, Mars Inc., announced Thursday it was extending its sponsorship deal with Joe Gibbs Racing for multiple years.

Mars said it would maintain its current level of sponsorship at JGR as part of the renewal.

That’s obviously good news for Busch and JGR, but also for NASCAR. The sport had been hit hard by sponsor defections in a difficult economy over the last couple years, and a major sponsor like Mars announcing a renewal is a positive for NASCAR.
