NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Jeff Byrd 500 | Bristol Motor Speedway Open Race Thread

Sometimes picking a winner for a Bristol race can be as difficult as picking a winner for Talladega - you just never know what is going to happen on track and how many cars it is going to effect. Statistically you have to go with Kyle Busch for the win (he has an average finish of 9.3 at Bristol) but I also wouldn’t count out any of the RCR drivers sitting outside of the Chase right now - Menard happens to be in there, while Harvick, Burton, and Bowyer are not.

Burton has a tough hole to climb out of as he currently sits thirty-second in the standings and no driver has ever made the Chase after sitting anywhere less than 29th after the first three races of the season - current point structure not with standing of course (but still ...).

Starting line-up can be found here (via nascar.com).

See you all on the other side, in the comment area of course!
