Ryan Mallett has been the subject of many draft related conversations. He is an intriguing prospect that may have the most fluid draft stock among this quarterback class. When discussing Mallett the main focus includes his big arm and character question marks. Mallett possesses the strongest arm in this draft class and has shown that he can be productive against SEC competition. However, his play on the field has been overshadowed by a media storm concerning off the field red flags. That storm had several evaluators make statements including the complete removal of Mallett from their draft board. I have kept a level head when it comes to Mallett's stock and feel that some of the off the field concerns might be exaggerated. Today ESPN posted a report that Mallett will be meeting with both the Dolphins and Bengals. While team visits do not always mean a team is interested you still have to keep an eye on a players visit schedule. I feel that this report gives the current temperature of Mallett's draft stock. It appears likely that teams will be looking at Mallett in the mid 1st round to early 2nd round. He could be a likely target for teams looking to move back into the first round to secure their quarterback position.
