SI's Carrie Baird is reporting that Ancelotti and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich have already agreed to part away this summer, with the Blues targeting two prominent Dutch coaches. Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea Agree Manager’s On Summer Departure - Report
Carlo Ancelotti's job security has been the subject of quiet murmuring since late fall, when Chelsea dropped from the league lead they had held since the opening weekend of the season. With the Blues initially struggling after the winter purchases of Fernando Torres and David Luiz, the murmurs became discernible whispers, talk that further solidified when Claudio Ranieri left Roma, a move that created a speculative link between the Serie A side and the former Milan coach.
Ancelotti has rebounded over the last two weeks, posting three consecutive wins across two competitions. However, the defending champions still sit in fourth place, in a race for the final two Champions League spots with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Last season, his first at Chelsea, Ancelotti won the league-cup double, outdistancing Manchester United by one point in the Premier League, defeating Portsmouth in the FA Cup final. This year, Chelsea remains alive in Champions League having been eliminated from the FA Cup.
