While the Houston Dynamo admitted to nearly signing a Designated Player over the weekend in the form of Mexican international Edgar Pacheco, the club could be looking elsewhere now. The Dynamo Theory, SBNation.com's Houston Dynamo blog, has been tracking a story that the Dynamo are considering Spanish striker Sergio Contreras Pardo, also known as Koke as their next DP target. There are also reports that he's already signed with the league for about 1 million euros.

ARIS FC announces the termination of cooperation with the footballer Sergio Koke to continue his career in MLS.
FC Aris Sergio Koke thanked for his contribution to date and his substantial contribution over the last five years the rise of the club. He wished success to follow his career and every personal happiness for himself and his family.
Koke has played for Malaga (Spain) and Marseille (France) before joining Aris in 2006 where he’s made 175 appearances with 38 goals.
The Dynamo have been in need of a big name forward to go along with Brian Ching, rookie Will Bruin and Jason Garey. Should Koke be that guy, he'll have to be able to handle hot Texas summers in Houston.
