But Bires showed Thursday that perseverance can pay off, as Joe Gibbs Racing announced a two-race Nationwide deal with Bires and sponsor International Comfort Products (ICP).

It’s likely Bires had to take care of the arrangement with ICP himself, then present the package to Gibbs.
↵The result is two races in JGR’s No. 18 car – the upcoming race at Richmond and the June 4 race at Chicagoland.
