It took two Green-White-Checkerds before a winner was crowned. Turner Motorsports was involved in all three wrecks that led to them. In the end, it came down to Kyle Busch being pushed by Joey Logano, Joe Nemechek being pushed by Brad Keselowski and Justin Allgaier being pushed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Busch and Logano edged Nemechek and Keselowski just as Mike Wallace, who was loose the entire race, got turned by Elliott Sadler.
Busch Steals a Win in Wreck Filled Slugfest: The NASCAR Nationwide Series Aaron’s 312 Review

Wallace spun back into Jason Leffler and the hit sent him airborne. The race ended under caution, and Kyle Busch was declared the winner. Busch was damaged in the big one, and was a non-factor until the end. It was Kyle’s first win at Talladega in the Nationwide Series.
I, for one, really didn’t like the ending to this race. Thanks to the G-W-C ruling, we never got to see Busch race back to the line. Since they took the White flag, as soon as the caution came out, we were official. Elliott Sadler, Joe Nemechek, and Trevor Bayne were all there at the end, and still a Cup regular won the Nationwide race. We only have three Cup drivers who have attempted all seven races, yet the Nationwide guys still go winless. I may be sounding like a broken record here, but Nascar’s new points system doesn’t go far enough.

| (i)- Not Running For Championship |
I love how everyone seems to hate Talladega when they crash, but suddenly love it when they win. It’s great to see guys like Mike Wallace, Joe Nemechek and Scott Wimmer up in the top 15 for most of the day. Ricky Stenhouse’s crash killed his championship momentum. Here’s the battle for the Nationwide Championship:
| Rank | # | Driver | Sponsor | Make | Owner | Points |
| 1 | 38 | Jason Leffler | Great Clips | Chevy | Turner Motorsports | 233 |
| 2 | 31 | Justin Allgaier | BRANDT | Chevy | Turner Motorsports | 231 |

With another Gibbs 1-2 finish, both teams are leading the Owner’s Championship Standings. Don’t count out Turner Motorsports yet. Here’s the Battle for Owner’s Championship:

Scott Wimmer managed to stay out of trouble and finish 12th. With that, he managed to leapfrog up in Owner Points. The #40 team is locked into Nashville, while the #89 team will have to qualify on time if there is more then 43 cars entered. Here’s the Battle for the top 30 in Owner Points:
