Friday afternoon, Cubs reliever Jeff Stevens saved the bullpen by throwing 89 pitches.

↵Saturday morning, Stevens was demoted to Triple-A Iowa.

↵Granted, he’s 27 years old and has a 6.27 career ERA in the majors. Still, another day or two in the Show would have been nice.
