The Houston Astros scored three runs in the 10th to down the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday, 9-6. After a Prince Fielder RBI double in the bottom of the 9th knotted the game at 6, the Astros and Brewers headed to extra-innings. In the top of the 10th, though, the Astros' offense came alive as back-to-back doubles by Humberto Quintero and Brandon Lyon plated three runs, putting Houston back on top.
Astros Vs. Brewers: Houston Snags Extra-Innings Win With Three-Run 10th, 9-6
Brandon Lyon, who had given-up the game-tying double in the 9th, slammed the door in the 10th, retiring the Brewers in order to secure the win. Sean Green was tagged with the loss after giving up three runs on three hits in just two-thirds of an inning. Brett Meyers got the start for Houston, but allowed five runs on 10 hits in six innings of work en route to a no-decision. Shaun Marcum also received a no-decision after giving up four runs on seven hits in six innings of work for the Brewers.
Hunter Pence, Carlos Lee and Humberto Quintero each had two RBIs for the Astros. Ryan Braun had three RBIs, two of which came on his 7th inning home run, and Fielder had two RBIs for the Brewers.
