The offensively-challenged Twins are getting back one of their bigger bats, as Delmon Young has been activated from the disabled list.

    Delmon Young Activated By Twins; Rene Tosoni Sent Packing

    Young hasn’t played since April 18, and though he went on the DL with a miserable .566 OPS, he was at .826 a year ago, and the Twins will be counting on him to provide a little thump in the middle of a thumpless batting order. As a team, the Twins have batted just .231 with a .325 slugging percentage and rank last in the league in scoring. They need all the help they can get, and Delmon Young should help.

    Rene Tosoni and his .494 OPS did not help while Young was away, so Tosoni’s off to the minors, where the 24-year-old will await his chance to make a better impression.
