Carlo Ancelotti hasn't had the best season at Chelsea. Last year's Double winners crashed out of the FA Cup in the fourth round, losing to Everton, and very nearly lost any opportunity at a Champions League position after slipping to fifth place and being knocked out of the tournament by Manchester United. Ancelotti may have won Manager of the Month for March, but a draw with Stoke City and the aforementioned Champions League defeat to United followed. Is there really any wonder that Ancelotti is contemplating a future away from London?
AS Roma Want An Answer From Carlo Ancelotti
It's no secret that AS Roma are courting the Italian, who played for the club in the 1980s, helping them win the scudetto in 1983. Ancelotti has also said that he wants to manage Roma, which apparently new owner Thomas Di Benedetto interpreted as, "Come and get me, boys." The new ownership seems to believe that Ancelotti is playing hard to get, and that he needs to be wooed over a seven-course meal featuring plenty of good wine. And if he doesn't give in and say yes to Roma by the end of next week, they'll start looking for more amenable options to replace Vincenzo Montella.
