Linebackers have been popular picks at the start of the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Three have been taken in the first 10 picks. Houston took Arizona's Brooks Reed 42nd, Dallas took Bruce Carter 40th and Tennessee got everything started by taking Akeem Ayers 39th.
Each is a good choice for three teams needing help on defense. The most questionable one is Reed going to Houston. It seems they already have a player with his skill set in Connor Barwin.
Carter was fittingly introduced by Cowboys legendary pass rusher Charles Haley. Thought by many as a first-round pick before a knee injury, Carter is one of the more athletic linebackers in this year's class.
