Lakers Vs. Mavericks, NBA Playoff Schedule: Champs Tip Off Next Round

The Los Angeles Lakers next face the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Playoffs. The Lakers finished off the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday, while the Mavericks took over of the Portland Trail Blazers. It's the first playoff meeting ever for the teams, odd considering that the two teams were among the most successful of the last decade.

The series won’t tip off until Monday. Here’s the full schedule.

Game 1: Mon., May 2 in Los Angeles, 10:30 p.m., TNT
Game 2: Wed., May 4 in Los Angeles, 10:30 p.m., TNT
Game 3: Fri., May 6 in Dallas, 9:30 p.m., ESPN
Game 4: Sun., May 8 in Dallas, 3:30 p.m., ABC
Game 5: Tue., May 10 in Los Angeles, Time TBD, TNT
Game 6: Thu., May 12 in Dallas, Time TBD, ESPN
Game 7: Sun., May 15 in Los Angeles, 3:30 p.m, ABC

That’s right: there are no more two-day breaks, unless the series goes to seven. Neither team is terribly young, so the relative lack of rest between games (for the playoffs) shouldn’t have a major impact.
