The Nashville Predators didn't put in much of an effort in Game 1, as far as they're concerned. Maybe it had to do with a long layoff compared to the Vancouver Canucks, who had played a Game 7 just two nights earlier, but the Preds definitely seemed flat early on and, frankly, throughout the first game of their 2011 NHL playoff second round series.
Predators Vs. Canucks, Game 2: Nashville Needs Better Effort To Avoid 0-2 Series Hole
Pekka Rinne, as always, was fantastic for Nashville, and his 29 saves were a big reason the Canucks only won the game by a score of 1-0. Vancouver looked to have new found life and confidence in Game 1, and there might be concern there that they weren't able to put more pucks past Rinne.
That’s the story as we prepare for Game 2. Will we see more of the same, can Rinne continue to hold up, and will the Predators be able to come back, get contributions from more than jut a handful of players, and steal a game on the road?
