Askren's welterweight title belt is not on the line in the main event, and the bout is schedule for three rounds. Hieron and Weedman are battling for a spot in the finals of the welterweight tournament. The winner will meet Rick Hawn in the finals. Woodard and Chandler is the second semi-final of the lightweight tournament, with Patricky Freire awaiting the victor.
