Top 10 Offensive Players for 2012

I am beginning a series on my top 50 offensive players for the 2012 draft.

1. Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford: Luck is the clear cut No. 1 player in the draft. While he does not have the elite level QB potential, I could see him ending up as a QB ranking in the top 10 in the NFL.

Follow the jump to see two though 10.

2. Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina: Jeffery ranks right up there with A.J. Green and Julio Jones from this year. He is more like Green in that he is big, physical, but not that fast. However, he should go in the top 10 next year.

3. Matt Barkley, QB, USC: Barkley has shown a lot in his short career at USC. With a strong season this year, he should be a top five to 10 pick.

4. Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma: Jones has a lot of potential and early indications are that he might return for his Senior season. However, if he declares he could be the second QB taken off the board.

5. Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State: Blackmon has good size and speed and has good hands. None of his qualities are exceptional but he is above average at everything.

6. Matt Kalil, OT, USC: Kalil has a lot of potential but needs to improve on some things to become a great LT in the NFL.

7. Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford: Martin did a tremendous job protecting Luck’s blindside this past year and another great year could make him the No. 1 tackle taken in the draft.

9. Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama: Richardson is a better NFL prospect than Ingram was as he has better top end speed and equal vision. He should go in the first round.

9. Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame: Floyd is probably the best pure WR in the draft. However, he has major character concerns and might not even play this season. If he plays, he should be able to get into the first round.

10. Riley Reiff, OT/OG, Iowa: Reiff will probably begin his NFL career as a RT or RG but could eventually be a good LT.
